Gods soveriegnty : monogism vs synergism pt- 2

In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train[a] of his robe filled the temple. Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!”
And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke. And I said: “Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!”
Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.” --- isahiah 6 :1 -7

here we have the first passage which needs to be in our study on God's sovereignty which reveals that isah in a certian year was revealed in a vision .. the pure and holiness of God, isaiah being a man recognised that due to severe uncleaniness he felt was not worthy of being in the presence  of the God he worships and adores

vs 5  And I said: "Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts

this verse has a deep truth -- and we need to recognise it since the LORD Jesus recognised this and makes a mention of this fact in matthew 15 :10 -20

And he called the people to him and said to them, “Hear and understand:  it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person.”  Then the disciples came and said to him, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?”  He answered, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be rooted up. Let them alone; they are blind guides. And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.” But Peter said to him, “Explain the parable to us.” And he said, “Are you also still without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach and is expelled? But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander. These are what defile a person. But to eat with unwashed hands does not defile anyone

this is not simply making a point that mans lips are unclean .. dirty .. that rather the reason for man having unclean lips is much deeper it comes from an unclean heart ... and all men are sinful to their core and unless an act of sovereignty occurs which can change this .. and it has in christs atonement which is God acting on behalf of man to Glorify himself through salvation of man

this we have a glimpse of in verses 6 -7

"Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for"

in this we see an act of the divine LORD cleansing isaiah  .. this was done purely based on his own will and not mans will .. this is seen as a this is seen as a sign of greater things to come through our Lord Jesus Christ

there is another point to mention on this is : this atonement of one of God's blessed prophets is also an inkling into how all of us, especially  the apostles their commissionjs was ordained after the atonement of christ

especially in the case of apostle paul  which resembles that chapter in some striking ways

First of all paul was struck blind due to the holiness of the vision and knew of his own sinfulness (as paul makes references too through his letters) and isaiah was made aware of his sins

Secondly --- paul had to go and recieve his sight by the spirit of God , then be cleanse at the same point  ... just as isaiah was in vs 6-7 and both were commissioned following the encounters

* And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.”  And he said, “Go, and say to this people:“‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand;
keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’Make the heart of this people dull, and their ears heavy, and blind their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.”
Then I said, “How long, O Lord? And he said: “Until cities lie waste without inhabitant and houses without people, and the land is a desolate waste, and the Lord removes people far away, and the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land. And though a tenth remain in it, it will be burned again,
like a terebinth or an oak, whose stump remains when it is felled.” The holy seed is its stump. (isaiah 6 :8 -13)

here is the commission of isaiah after being cleansed in the vision ...

Now there was a disciple at Damascus named Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, “Here I am, Lord.” And the Lord said to him, “Rise and go to the street called Straight, and at the house of Judas look for a man of Tarsus named Saul, for behold, he is praying, and he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias come in and lay his hands on him so that he might regain his sight.”  But Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he has done to your saints at Jerusalem. And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on your name.”  But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel. For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name.” So Ananias departed and entered the house. And laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road by which you came has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” And immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and he regained his sight. Then he rose and was baptized;  and taking food, he was strengthened. (acts 9 : 10 -19)

here we see the comissioning of paul for a task -- which happen after a vision  .....

note the simalar points

both had vision, even if one was blinded, the other was not .. they both recieved cleansing through this  .. and were used by the lord in similar manners too .. to bring the message of the lord to people

3 -- as John says in John 12 ... ISA saw yahweh the son, as was the person in pauls vision

Therefore they could not believe. For again Isaiah said,
40  “He has blinded their eyes
    and hardened their heart,
lest they see with their eyes,
and understand with their heart, and turn,
    and I would heal them.”
41 Isaiah said these things because he saw his glory and spoke of him

here we have affirmation on the truth of Jesus being seen in his glory before the incarnation, although there is a positive case for this also being reflective of the glory of the crucifixion, but the main point here is that Jesus is identified as yahweh in john 12 ... linked to isa 6 :1 -7
