Jehovah witness: dethrowning the holy spirit part 2

In the theology of the Jehovah witness's they render the holy spirit as an active force which in turn results in a major problem for the witness' based on the fact that the different roles of the holy spirit as the gospel presents them are turned over to the watchtower trat society
but in doing so they have made a fatal flaw in their dishonest move .... as the role of the spirit is one of the one true God and no man can fill them in a book called  "Keep yourself in Gods love" they tell us many thing that a witness must do to be faithful .. such as

in a chapter called "How to keep yourself separate from the world" they claim the following interesting in formation such as;
"those who keep themselves in Gods love also enjoy spiritual protection from Satan, who wants to deprive Christians not just of happiness, but also of eternal life (1 peter 5:8) "we have a wrestling" said Paul not against blood nor the flesh but against the governments, the authorities, against world rulers of this darkness, against wicked spirit forces in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12)"
Here we have a major problem ...

First of all, due to the false lies of this satanic cult. the poor people who follow it are getting half truths ... the spirit of God is God himself, like the father and son are that one God .... but this not the issue what this is saying is that man has to fight against evil in this life
This is incorrect as it is not our role to fight in our own might, it is the spirit who leads the fight we are just his instruments in this fight against all the enemies of God and Christ a fact the watch tower deny the SPIRIT OF GOD
The spirit of God  is a person, not a physical person, but spirit person .. and is the 3rd member of the trinity .. (which is that God is one being that has eternally existed as 3 persons)
and the roles of the spirit are the following :
he is the comforter of the true believers in Christ, the redeemed elect, he convicts us and brings us to hate what is evil, he leads us to spiritual victory in Christ. he builds us in the strength of God to over come all evil perverse things of the world everything that the bible reveals as his role in salvation has been robbed of him by making him a force, and handing it over to the watchtower

secondly, it is not the watchtower who declares a person a christian, not even the person. this is also apart of the spirits act of adoption which comes by regeneration and sanctification
note the words of Paul in Romans 8
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father! vs 14-15
The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God"
with out the spirit being God and a unique person .. this will not take place .. the watchtower has no place in this ... it is the spirit that does this ... all it means by robbing the spirit of his deity and person hood, and what his role is.
You, if you identify yourself as witness then you are nothing more than a slave to a system

so what we have is a work promoting a false idealist system that can not save you;  since it tell you that you have to strive for your own salvation .. and any system proclaiming to be of God which promotes such things are not truly of God but of an evil , completely evil origin
The faulty reasoning of the watchtower organisation. In a their publication, keep yourself in Gods love, under the 3rd chapter in the section "when to withdraw fellowship" on pages 34-35, the watchtower has made the following statement:

"at times we are called to withdraw fellowship from one who has been a member of the congregation...due to a situation of being unrepentant in cases that violate s Gods law or when one teaches false doctrine .... Gods word plainly tells us to quit mixing company with such ones .... (1 Corinthians 5 :11-13, 2 john 9 -11)"

here is an interesting claim by the Jehovah organisation, and of course there is some truth in what it is states... yet there is at least a few things missing in this
such as the fact that there is a procedure give by the risen LORD .. we read in Matthew 18 : 15 -20 of this procedure ...
"1 confront him, if this does not work, 2 take 2-3 witness as procedure, and if this is not good .. take him to the church" we only sever all ties as a church when the above is not working ...
but even more we do not and never should we make the person an alien to his own family

okay having said this we move on a few more central issues in this statement .. and i am glad that it has taken the bible as the sole authority in this case as it will becomes more plain

Fist of all .... the passages mentioned are not good grounds to make a leap to making the person an alien to their own family .. lets go into them a little more
I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people not at all meaning the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.
But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one.
For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge?
God judges those outside. “Purge the evil person from among you.” 1 Corinthians 5 : 9 -13
Here is a substantially larger portion of the text, this passage is only telling us of what God will allow into the kingdom, no sinners at all. they have to undergo a transformation which will only happen out side of the person ..
the book paints a picture that this transformation is a personal application as in it is your work, but the bible is clear that it is not our work but the Spirit's role in regeneration ... Colossians 3 :1-17, and Philippians 2 :12-13
and this is also seen in the very next chapter in these words "And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God" this work is apart of regeneration and sanctification of the spirit, by reducing the spirit to a mere force. it reduces his roles by a whole lot, and then the organisation applies these thing to itself .. that is called misleading the public

2 .... Now when we consider the other point in this "when one teaches false doctrine" the last was orthopraxy... this is orthodoxy... meaning sound teachings
and this is where the scripture comes into focus as we have this other statement made by these people
"From time to time, there have arisen from among the ranks of Jehovah's people those, who, like the original Satan, have adopted an independent, fault finding attitude... They say that it is sufficient to read the Bible exclusively, either alone or in small groups at home. But, strangely, through such ï' Bible reading,' they have reverted right back to the apostate doctrines that commentaries by Christendom's clergy were teaching 100 years ago..." (Watchtower, Aug. 15, 1981)."

Note the above statement when one teaches false doctrine they should according to the organisation be alienated from the rest. yet is this not what they are guilty of themselves note what they said in this quote.
"when reading alone or in small groups .. independent of the organisation .. you will revert back to the doctrine of the pasts" a striking statement to which instantly makes the point in the start ... as useless and refuted lies
Since 1981 statement tells that they know the doctrine that been universally known from day 1 are true.

*Jesus is God (the 2nd person) of the trinity ...
* The Holy Spirit is also God (the 3rd person) of the trinity
* Jesus died for mans sins upon the cross
* He rose bodily from the tomb
* Justification by faith, minus works

All which are universally denied by the organisation and this is how;

* Jesus is a mere creature .. the first born .. there is no trinity
* the holy spirit ... an active force (not personal)
* Jesus died on a torch stake
* Man has to earn his way to heaven by witnessing to others .. (dependent on results)
* He rose spiritually, not physically (body disintegrated)

Based on the contradictory statements being made. there is no real truth in the organisation as it appears one minute they want to believe you can not arrive at true understanding by yourself. you need them for it,  but in the same breathe if you do go it alone you will end up believing the trinity.
a candid admission they are not God's organisation as they are lying to man about what the bible plainly teaches as they indicate.
The next issue to address is how the watchtower rob the holy spirit of his roles of the one who regenerates and  sanctifies all believers, this comes about very clearly in the following words, from a recent publication "keep yourself in Gods love." where it states;

to keep ourselves physically clean, we need to keep to avoid defiling habits and practises... the bible does not specifically name all unclean and disgusting habits and practises that are prevalent today . but it does contain certain principles.here are 5 scriptural principals  (1)  2 Corinthians 7 :1. (2) Matthew 22:37. (3) acts 17 : 24,25. (4) Matthew 22 :39. and finally, (5) Titus 3:1

The problem with cults such as Jehovah witness' they claim to be Christian and follow the bible, all the while denying everything it says about the trinity and the 3rd person, the Holy Spirit. by attributing his divine works to the organisation but in doing so they have shown themselves to be false brothers and heretics.
This is clearly seen in the fact that they teach a self orientated faith, based on works being the qualifier

The bible does teach much about how one is kept from even thinking or doing what is evil in Gods sight. and it is not by our own willingness or unwillingness, notice how the following passages refer to the Holy Spirit as the one who works through us;

You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you...... For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”  The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God Romans 8 :9-11,14-16
these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God....The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. “For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2 :10 -12, 14-16
Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be uninformed. You know that when you were pagans you were led astray to mute idols, however you were led. Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says “Jesus is accursed!” and no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit..... All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills 1 Corinthians 14 :1-3, 11

These three passages from Paul's writings shows us that rather than trying to keep God satisfied by doing countless things with the aim or desire of getting something in return for your efforts, which never works for salvation is a gift of grace which is given to us by the father based on another complete and perfect work. that being the son of God -- Jesus (Yahushua, Yeshua) of Nazareth

This also tells us that Christ's Spirit, the third person is the one who conforms us to the image of the LORD Jesus, as we cannot do such a thing.

These above statement also make it clear that the Jehovah witness claim of the Holy Spirit being a mere force can not be substantiated by the bible as a whole, as it makes it plain that the Holy spirit is a divine entity as is the father and the son, and like wise, he is personal. hence he is a person.

In defence of their idea that the bible is simply a manual of principles that one can follow if they feel the need to, but the organisation is a better way to be safer, they state this "it does contain certain principles. here are 5 scriptural principals  (1) 2 Corinthians 7 :1. (2) Matthew 22:37. (3) acts 17 : 24,25. (4) Matthew 22 :39. and finally, (5) Titus 3:1"
Which we must note that this is a complete mishandling of the bible and the cited passages in their immediate and whole context.

Lets consider the 2nd and 4th points. first of all this is the greatest command which we need to understand it from context, so here is the context

But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him.  “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

Indeed, this is a beautiful scripture which makes it plain that the law and prophets both are dependent on this factor. in other words, these two areas function as a two way divide which all the old testament was to be seen through.  firstly the first part is true worship of God, then secondly, how we are to treat others with godly content.

but notice just two chapters before this, a man came to Jesus asking how to be saved and the response show us that the laws of God, no man can keep in its entirety, here is the passage;

And behold, a man came up to him, saying, “Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?” And he said to him, “Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good.If you would enter life, keep the commandments.” He said to him, “Which ones?” And Jesus said,“You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, Honor your father and mother, and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” The young man said to him, “All these I have kept. What do I still lack?” Jesus said to him, “If you would beperfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” When the young man heard this he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.And Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly, I say to you, only with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?” But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

We should take note of this scripture as it is giving us a very important truth, this man claimed to have kept the 2nd end of the law "love your neighbour as yourself"  but he failed to keep the first end of the law "to love God with all your..." and on this fact we know the law was not kept by this man at all.
For he had an idol in his wealth, which broke the 2nd commandment. revealing he in fact, never kept the most important ones and Jesus words to the disciple fit this .. "with man it is impossible, but with God all things are possible" hence, no matter how good one is with keeping the law it is not Gods method of salvation.
As that can alone and only be found in his son Jesus, which is why he says to the man "follow me."

As for the other scriptures mentioned, that being 2 Corinthians 7:1, acts 17 :24-25 and Titus 3: 1, we must allow the contexts to speak for themselves.

First of all, it is bad to misuse a passage which in context is given us a wonderful example of the life in the spirit, from chapters 5 :1 - 7:1.  this brief section only gives us the command, it does not explain how this action will be carried out. for us to understand this we must consult the whole context and other passages that give us the full understanding, when we do this we see the following;

 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5 :17 -21
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. Philippians 2 :12-13
But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the first fruits to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth.To this he called you through our gospel, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2 :13-14For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works. Titus 2 :11-14
But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Titus 3 :4-7And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified. Romans 8 :28 -30

These scripture make very clear that which may appear to be human changes from the perspective of other humans, but the reality is that it is the God's sovereignty bringing us into the likeness of his son by the work of the Spirit of God.

This truth is so profoundly noted in the scripture that it is hard to deny it, unless it is through the rejection of the Spirit all together

The remaining scriptures do not even speak to the same situation, the Titus 3 :1 speaks of general authorities and how we are to be in submission.. not about christian life as such. and the other passage has no reference to how we are to act. it is about the being of God who is the creator of all things, being so far from that of anything of the world that he is hard to keep in a man made construction

Neither passage can be used to dismiss the divinity of the holy spirit, as it is by the Holy Spirit we live and breathe
